Gay Activism - Political Correctness Gone Insane

Like the majority of Americans, I am outraged that Carrie Prejean, Miss California, who gave an honest answer to Perez Hilton's question was not the Miss USA Winner. And isn't it interesting that Perez chose the Christian to ask about gay marriage. Not a coincidence, I think. Hilton, a gay activist, is known for his uncouth ugliness with anyone who disagrees with him, and usually goes straight to YouTube to express his reaction with the filthiest of language.

I guess Hilton forgot that the majority of Californians voted in favor of marriage between a man and a woman only. But then, gay activism is getting uglier with every passing week.

What happened to Freedom of Speech? Nothing if you're gay. But if you're traditional, or a Christian, you had better work harder to be politically correct if you want to get hired. It is social engineering gone insane.

Average, hard-working Americans are given a list of "Politically Incorrectness" and every day something is added to the list. It's as if some one (or some entity) is committed to shutting all of our mouths and begin to think "politically correct."

I'm sorry. I refuse to be coerced into some one else's mold. And I'm proud as punch of Miss California (who comes from the most liberal state in the Union) for staying true to her beliefs. She is a true hero to most Americans!

I fail to see where all the concern comes from over this gay marriage debate. Jesus went around teaching others to lead God-centered lives. He didn't pass laws forcing them to do so. Making a sin illegal doesn't make it any less of a sin.

Thank you, DDW, for commenting. I do see your point, believe me. But if you've listened to the news today you will hear how "Hate Speech" crimes will likely be expanded to the point that a pastor cannot preach what The Word says about homosexuality. You'll remember this happened in the '90s with abortion, and pastors, rather than face prosecution, quit addressing abortion from the pulpit. Sometimes I feel we are like the proverbial frog in the pot, unaware of the increasing heat of the water. I believe we are to "occupy" (Jesus said so), and "occupy" is not a passive term. It is a military term that means action. Again, thank you for commenting.

No making a sin illegal does not make it any less a sin. However it does show to the world and to the eyes of God that we are still One Nation under God, or at least we are trying to be. And I hope for our nation’s sake we never stop. Because in my belief the very day we as a nation stop putting God first, we are doomed. I have read the disasters that have befallen all of the other nations that have fallen from God’s Grace. Do we really want to risk it? Also the true meaning of a marriage is that a man leave his family and a women leave her home and both man and women unite and become one flesh, this means to conceive and be fruitful. In the order of the Law God commanded Adam and Eve to go forth and multiply. This is what a marriage is not a coupling of same sex people that want to unite as partners. If it is not for the glory of God then it is not correct…

Thank you, Planet Buzz Guy, for your perspective. I am reminded of Rome which fell for the reasons you stated above. There seem to be two kinds of Christians: (1) Those who say, "It's prophesied, so I'll just sit and wait, and (2) Those who say, "God expects me to 'occupy' and try saving my country." I see a definite schism in the Church of Jesus Christ. Again, thank you.
